Change in Hands on Class and Session

The 1A class Chris Williams was teaching and his session has been replaced. Chris will be unable to make HDC10 due to some scheduling conflicts that have come up.

We’ll miss Chris, however, we are very excited to announce that Sara Summers (UX Evangelist @ MIcrosoft) has offered to fill the class and session with some extensive UX training geared toward developers. If you remember Drew Davies UI design talk from last year, the overflowing attendance, and the resounding advocacy for the talk, you’ll know how exciting it is that we can offer an even deeper dive into this fast growing segment of our industry.

Class 1A is called “Capturing Innovation: Great Ideas, Prototyping and Problem-Solving” and will be held at 8AM on Wednesday for the first 25 registered attendees.

Sara’s session (403) will be”Become a User Experience Designer in 45 Minutes“.

Hands-On Classes For Full Conference Attendees Only

Hey everyone. Looks like there has been some confusion and we have several people signed up for the hands-on classes that have not purchased a full conference pass. This is just a reminder that only full conference attendees are eligible to purchase hands-on class tickets. These classes are subsidized by the money from the main event, so it’s only fair that we allow all full conference attendees the priority access to the classes.

As of today, several of the classes are close to selling out and I have notified all class attendees that they need to purchase a full conference pass by 7/15 to remain in the “Seat” they have purchased. At that time all non conference pass attendees will be removed from the class and their fees refunded to make room for our full conference attendees.

Keynotes and more sessions announced!

Most of the sessions are now official, with Joe Stagner kicking us off with some super secret Microsoft Web Stack talk. More details to come as Microsoft takes non-disclosure off. One thing is for sure, if you are a web developer on Microsoft’s toolset, you won’t want to miss this. He’s also doing a couple sessions as well.

Also announced Jonathan’s Sharp’s keynote and session. Come learn about the next generation of web programming from one of the JQuery core team members. This guy has been blessed by John Resig himself and it should be an eye opening morning with great takeaways.

Per the usual, we are selling tickets at a record pace this year and the hands-on labs are really taking off. Please register today if you have not yet and make sure to get a room at the Embassy. I am told those are nearly gone.

The session submission process is officially over for HDC10 and we’ll be announcing sessions later this week. We are working out some final scheduling conflicts and should have everything posted soon. Thanks to everyone that submitted!

Of note will be a few of the Microsoft talks by Joe Stagner and his team who are working on some pretty big stuff in Redmond that we are on a moving timetable with so we’ll release information as it becomes available. We can tell you though, that it will be revolutionary.

.NET User Group – Focused on .NET development technologies, meets the last Thursday of every Month
BizTalk User Group – Focused on BizTalk, workflow, and business processes, meets the first Thursday of every Even Month
