HDC is an event that was born out of and continues to thrive within a strong regional software design and development community. The leaders of this community are often unsung heroes that not only facilitate things like the meet-ups, list-serves, Twitter accounts, Facebook pages, blogs, websites, etc.. that keep our communities alive, but they also inspire the development and professional growth of each member that it takes to make our region better, faster, and smarter as a whole. This year we will again be presenting the annual award that recognizes one of these outstanding HDC community leaders. The award will be given in the name of Kent Tegels, one of the original HDC founders and supporters, a friend, and a colleague who dedicated a large portion of his life to growing our community. Anyone who knew Kent knows that an award recognizing the efforts of one of our community leaders is a fitting tribute to his legacy and we’re proud to be able to present the award on his behalf.
Below you will find a submission form where you can nominate a local community leader that you believe fit the criteria laid out above. The nominees will be evaluated by a qualified committee and the winner will be announced at HDC. Please nominate someone you think should be considered or pass this form along to someone you know. We’re looking forward to bringing some recognition to all our leaders and a special tribute to one of them.
NOMINATIONS CLOSE August 1st!
